Q: I am familiar with posting pictures of my properties, but I have never done video before. Video on a website seems intimidating to me. Is there anything that I need to do differently?  

A: Most Agents are familiar with the posting process for still photographs of their properties. Depending on your company's website procedures it could be just as simple. For companies that are not set up for video, we offer hosting services so that your Video Listing can be accessed from your listing page with a simple link. Linking to an external web page is how virtually all Real Estate companies handle video. These links can be embedded almost anywhere including sites like Zillow, for example. Just paste the link we send you via email into the "virtual tour" section which is available on most websites. We offer the video plain, without branding information and also branded with your picture and contact information. Setting up the initial template for listings is free of charge and maintenance is included in the modest hosting fee.

  
Q: How does your hosting service work? How is it different from posting my video on sites like YouTube?
A: For a small, one-time fee of $5, you will never have to worry about whether or not your video will play smoothly everytime a potential buyer views it. Also, for every listing site that accesses your video from our CLMS server, the number of visits will be counted. As a courtesy to our Agents, we supply a monthly report of the number of views that you receive. Be advised that some sites, like Realtor.com, require that your video be hosted on their servers. This requires an additional step and vistors to those sites will not be included in the monthly report that CLMS provides. Ask us if you have any questions.
 
Q: What are all of the options and services which are available to me with the Real Estate Video Listing service?

A: Your Video Listing is competely customizable. Here is a partial list of what is available to you to optimize your experience:

Q: After shooting, when can I expect to see a finished product?

A: Typically within 24-48 hours after shooting and receiving an approved script, you will be emailed a link to the video in a private viewing space. You can forward this link to your client so that they can also view and make comments or approval.
Q: Who will be invoiced for this service?

A: We can bill you directly, the listing agent, or we can bill your home office. Most Agents work as independent contractors and shoulder the costs themselves. You can make the determination if you are going to pass along the cost to your client or you can decide that this is a value added service that you are offering. Invoices are due upon receipt. We can bill you via mail, via email or can accept credit/debit/electronic check payments via Paypal.
Q: Are there other rates based on volume, for example?

A: Yes. Please see the rate card for a full explanation of our rates and packages or contact us with your specific questions.
Q: Do I always have to be present for the video shoot?

A: Not always. We can meet with your client to shoot the video. However, if your property is vacant and has an electronic lock box, you will need to be present or provide an alternate way for us to gain access.
Q: Do I have to write the script for the video?

A: Not necessarily. If your listing is already online, we can usually take your listing comments and info right from the MLS. But, by providing as much information that you can will help make the video exactly what everyone wants. You can be as involved or not involved in the process as you like. You will be assigned a personal Producer who will exclusively shoot and edit your video.
